Presenting the Myufull Luxe-Skin Revitalizing Device! Our all-in-one device that combines four powerful technologies to put your best face forward.
You may have heard of micro-current facials, which are having a moment & joining a roster of other skincare approaches. Most devices on the market today will use one or two of these technologies, however the Myufull Luxe Skin device stands out from the others in that it combines four technologies in one:
EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation)
EMS works by delivering a low amplitude electrical current to muscles which mimics the natural process that occurs when a muscle is contracted and relaxed. The electrical stimulation helps to repair tissue & strengthen muscles, by stimulating nerves and muscle fibres and improving blood flow and circulation. EMS has been also been used for pain management related to tissue injury & other chronic pain conditions such as osteoarthritis. Strengthening the muscles in the face with EMS reduces the appearance of fine-lines and wrinkles, tightens the skin which provides sharper contouring of facial features (jaw-line, chin & cheeks), & and a ‘plumping’ effect from improved blood circulation.
AEON Technology (Ions)
AEON technology uses cations (positively charged ions) and anions (negatively charged ions) to improve the condition of skin. AEON technology works through a process called iontophoresis: the movement of ions using electric current. Ion technology works by using the charge of ions to provide different skin benefits. Cations (positive ions) are best for deep cleaning, the positively charged ions create electro-static pressure which softens the molecules around negatively charged impurities, this allows deep seated oil and grime to be brought to the surface and washed away. Anions (negatively charged ions) bind with positively charged ions on skin to enhance moisturisation & nutrient absorption into deeper layers of skin. It is suggested that serums and lotions be used with anions as the active ingredients are better able to absorb into skin. Anions also improve blood circulation & oxygenation to the skin resulting in improved skin cell turn-over & collagen production. Anions also have an anti-inflammatory effect lowering oxidative stress (a result of normal cell metabolism that creates free radicals which can damage cells).
Micro-current
Micro-current technology has been in use in medicine since the 1970’s to treat muscle paralysis and Bell’s Palsy, primarily used in FDA approved TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) devices. Microcurrent works by delivering a low amplitude electrical current which mimics the body’s natural ionic flow. While evidence is limited, studies suggest micro-current increases the production of ATP (Adenosine Tri-Phosphate) the basic chemical energy that cells use to conduct their work, by up to 400%. Collagen and elastin production are basic functions of skin cells, and it is suggested with the increase of available ATP cells have energy to increase collagen & elastin production, improving the skins condition (collagen and elastin are the basic proteins that provide the skin with structure & elasticity). Further benefits include tightening and contouring of facial features as a result of facial muscles being stimulated.
Waveform
Waveform technology refers specifically to the frequency and shape of electrical current delivered by the device. Waveforms of varying shapes or frequencies will have different skin benefits by targeting the skin in various ways. The shape of the wave also determines how blood circulation is directed. For instance a sawtooth wave shape will have a plumping effect on the skin, while lifting and contouring is achieved using a variety of wave shapes. Overall, waveform technology delivers the same benefits of micro-current technology.
